Lamberti Family arrives in the U.S.
In 1963, thirteen year-old Aldo Lamberti arrived in the United States with his family from Naples, Italy. His father Giuseppe, opened a pizzeria in Brooklyn, New York becoming the first restaurateur in the family and beginning the tradition of fine Italian food and superior service that customers enjoy in all of Aldo Lamberti's Family of Restaurants today.

Building a tradition of fine Italian food
Giuseppe taught his sons how to make delicious pizza while Mom prepared her traditional Italian specialties in the kitchen. Between 1969 and 1974, Aldo's family operated two restaurants on Long Island offering guests traditional Southern Italian cuisine. At 27, Aldo returned to Italy to expand his culinary education, learning the preparation techniques of Northern Italian cuisine and the intricacies of the seafood business.

Aldo Lamberti opens Ristorante Lamberti
Upon his return to the United States, Aldo opened his first Ristorante Lamberti on Brace Road in Cherry Hill, New Jersey in 1985. The restaurant fast became famous with area residents and this was only the beginning. Aldo then opened Caffe Lamberti (today known as Caffe Aldo Lamberti) at the former Race Track Circle. But he didn't stop there.

A Growing Family of Restaurants
Partnering with other fine restaurateurs, most of whom were family or childhood friends, Aldo continued to open more restaurants. In 1991 the Pasta Blitz by Lamberti concept was born and the family of restaurants grew rapidly in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. In 1999, the Pasta Blitz and Ristorante Lamberti restaurant concepts underwent a name change. The fine cuisine, attentive operators and exceptional service all remained the same. But the new name was Lamberti's Cucina for the casual dining option with Caffe Aldo Lamberti remaining synonymous with the finest Italian cuisine.

Today...the Tradition continues
Aldo Lamberti's Delaware Valley family of restaurants now includes 6 Lamberti's Cucina restaurants and of course, the flagship of fine Italian dining, Caffe Aldo Lamberti, located on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Aldo has recently completed renovations at three of his area properties and is proud to introduce Tutti Toscani by Lamberti in Cherry Hill, Milano Modo by Lamberti in Mt. Holly and Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti in Philadelphia. In addition, Aldo Lamberti has added to his repertoire Pastavino Restaurant in Maple Shade, NJ, Forno Pizzeria & Grille, a counter service establishment also in Maple Shade and Waterfall Banquet & Conference Center in Claymont, DE. Currently, the restaurants have more than 300 employees company-wide consisting of chefs, kitchen staff, servers, bus persons and administrative personnel to operate the family of restaurants. More than 18,000 guests are served every week company-wide...and every one of these customers experiences what delicious food really is.
